ETHOART 2026 is an upcoming international workshop exploring how animal behavior science influences literature, philosophy, film, and the arts. It will be held during September 24-27, 2026 at Erice, Sicily, Italy.
About
The overall purpose of the Workshop is to discuss how ethological studies have influenced different non-scientific disciplines, such philosophy, literature, movies, and various forms of artistic expressions. the idea is to look at how the teachings of the great figures of ethology can be traced in humanistic and artistic expressions.
Participation to the school is limited. The registration fees are
- 450€/each for Master Undergraduate and PhD students
- 650€/each for Postdoc and Faculty Members

- Deadline for payment is 15 Sep 2026 24:00 UTC
Registration can also be accepted up to 3 days before the event, and payment can be made upon arrival at the school Contribution is ALL-INCLUSIVE and covers registration to the workshop, lodging, meals (participants will receive vouchers to eat in local restaurants), coffee breaks and transport to and from the airport (Trapani or Palermo). Students will be kindly requested to share their room.
