North of England Golden Eagle Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled and commited project manager to lead the development and delivery of the North England Golden Eagle Project (NEGEP).

Are you an experienced project manager with a an ecological background and a passion for nature restoration, partnership working and community engagement?

We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the development and delivery of the North England Golden Eagle Project (NEGEP), which is funded by the UK Government and Forestry England.

  • Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (depending on experience)
  • Location: Home-based (ideally Northern England)
  • Closing date: 21 August 2026.
  • Contract to end of March 2029, with likely extension.

This is a rare opportunity to play a leading role in a high profile species restoration project.

We’re looking for someone with strong project management skills, ecological knowledge, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience, and the ability to lead a complex, high-profile partnership project.

Working under the direction of RUN’s CEO, Dr Cat Barlow, the Project Manager will oversee the development of the project in partnership with Forestry England, national and regional conservation and land management agencies, NGOs and local communities across Northern England.
