About

SEMF’s Interdisciplinary School is an event intended for students, researchers and creators of all backgrounds and education levels to learn about a wide range of topics, exploring many traditionally distant disciplines, while socializing with like-minded peers in a dynamic and fun environment.

• Format: The main event will consist of a multidisciplinary series of talks and short courses, as well as socializing and leisure activities in Valencia for all in-person participants to enjoy. Contributions will be delivered in English.
• Venue: In-person sessions will take place in the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). Livestreamed sessions from speakers abroad will be projected in the main classroom. Additional classrooms will be available for other activities.
• Online: Most in-person sessions will be livestreamed for online participants with the possibility to interact virtually. Text channels will also be available during the event to allow for coordination, discussion and socializing.
• Who can attend: Although the event is mainly aimed at students and young researchers, participation, both online and onsite, is open to anyone interested.
• Interdisciplinarity: This event aims to foster intellectual cross-pollination by bringing together researchers, practitioners, students and creators from diverse areas of expertise that share a common vision on fundamental questions.
• Participate: All participants, both onsite and online, must register as places are limited. For those traveling to Valencia, there is available accommodation close to the venue at a discounted price.

Registration

To secure your place in the Interdisciplinary School 2026 you need to register in the website.

• Online (40€): This includes access to all the live sessions and the social platform shared by all School participants.
• Onsite (70€): This enables you to attend the events in Valencia and includes light lunch and refreshments provided every day onsite for participants.
• Onsite+Accommodation (from 295€): This includes onsite participation, together with a room booking and breakfast at Galileo Galilei Residence, located on campus just a two-minute walk from the venue.

There are a limited number of subsidized places available for participants who may be in difficult financial circumstances. We can also provide supporting documentation or official letters if required for visa applications. For either of these requests, please contact us through the form below.
