The International System Dynamics Conference (ISDC) brings together a global community of people passionate about System Dynamics and systems thinking. Now entering its 44th year, the conference continues to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among participants from business, academia, government, and civil society.

The ISDC provides a platform for newcomers to learn from experts, for experienced practitioners to share the latest advancements, and for all participants to expand their professional networks across disciplines and regions.

ISDC2026 will be a hybrid event — join us virtually or in person in Delft, The Netherlands. Whether presenting work, learning new methods, or engaging in discussions, participants from more than 60 countries come together to explore the latest developments and applications of System Dynamics.

Call for Papers, Workshops, and Contributions

The 2026 conference theme is “Navigating uncertainty, managing instability and crafting futures together” as the world faces interconnected crises—from climate change and biodiversity loss to misinformation and widening inequalities—that test our social, political, and economic systems.

System scientists are uniquely positioned to uncover the dynamic complexities driving these challenges. By combining analytical and collaborative approaches, and building partnerships across disciplines, we can inform effective policies and shape sustainable futures.

ISDC 2026 welcomes submissions to all conference threads from researchers, students, educators, and practitioners using System Dynamics in any field. We particularly encourage contributions that address societal challenges, present innovative methods, or examine our responsibilities as systems scientists in crafting better futures.
